About the position

As a Senior Google Cloud Architect at CNTXT, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and management of cloud-based infrastructure and applications specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and create effective solutions that ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our GCP-based systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Google Cloud architecture, DevOps, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Principal duties

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform, its services, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient GCP-based solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of GCP infrastructure and applications, leveraging services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, and Cloud Functions.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of GCP infrastructure by implementing industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of GCP-based systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Google Cloud architecture and multi-cloud strategies.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to other team members and share knowledge across the organization.
• Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in architecture with a 3+ years focus Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, and other related services.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
