Senior Data Scientist

Scope of work

The Data Scientist (DS) will be responsible for building solutions on top of contextualized data, focusing on providing analytics and development competency towards the multi-functional team working on a given customer engagement. The DS is expected to participate in whiteboard sessions and workshops with process engineers and equipment experts to understand the problem and how it maps to the data. The DS will constantly work with data wrangling using python, SQL or visual analytics tools. Sensor data, work order history and log entries are examples of the industrial data to be worked with. The DS will also work on implementing and deploying real time calculations and models as well as building data products using dashboarding tools such Power BI, Grafana or Plotly Dash. Iterating prototypes and user stories with subject matter experts. Building streaming calculations & models as serverless functions and visuals in PBI, Grafana or Plotly Dash. Hardening to production (using provided infra and practices).

Principal Duties

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineer or similar domain education, / Prefers Master degree holder 10 years overall experience, and 4+ Years of relevant experience.
• Leading & mentoring teams on the development of internal and external facing systems and products.
• Designing and building high-performance API's based on Django, Flask and/or other backend web frameworks.
• Working with PostgreSQL and Redis databases; with state of the art features like table partitioning for massive time-series datasets.
• Building declarative cloud infrastructure (AWS) through tools like Terraform and SaltStack.
