What we’re looking for
We are in search of a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a solid background in cloud computing. Your main responsibility will be to design, deploy and oversee our clients’ cloud adoption journeys, playing a significant role in the successful execution of their digital strategies.
How you’ll impact
Your role is crucial to the smooth operation of our clients’ cloud-based platforms. You will be creating and deploying scalable cloud infrastructures and collaborating with development teams to integrate Google Cloud services according to the specific requirements of each project. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing these systems to ensure maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Google Cloud services into projects.
- Monitor system performance and resolve any issues to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
- Conduct system tests to ensure infrastructure designs are robust and reliable.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to ensure the latest Google Cloud technologies are utilized.
- Identify and implement cloud best practices to optimize infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Create detailed documentation outlining design and operational procedures for the cloud infrastructure.
What you’ll bring
- Proficient knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Google Cloud, Azure, OCI, AWS or, ideally, Google Cloud).
- Intermediate expertise in at least one programming language (Go, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Experience with operating systems and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Google Cloud Build, Google Cloud Deploy, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, ansible, Cloudformation).
- Coding and scripting skills for automation.
- Good understanding of configuration management tools (ansible, chef, puppet, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with data center operations and infrastructure migration with VMware or similar systems.
- Proven track record in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery.
- Experience in managing external partners and customers.
- Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies like Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Experience working in Agile SCRUM framework.
